Alice Owuor

Alice Owuor is a founder Trustee and member of the Board of Trustees for John Wilson Foundation (JOWI-F), and has more than 15 years’ experience in the sector of humanitarian aid and support, assisting vulnerable members of the society become more self-sufficient. She is a member of Soroptimist International (SI), a global volunteer movement with a network of around 72,000 club members in 121 countries, working together at a local, national and international level to Educate, Empower and Enable opportunities for women and girls with the aim of transforming their lives. Alice currently chairs the Board of Moving The Goalposts, a sport for development community based organization that harnesses the power of sport to overcome social obstacles girls and young women face in coastal Kenya; helping them take up leadership roles and have a voice in the society. Prior to participating in the non-profit sector, Alice held senior management positions in a strategic public sector organization in Kenya and contributed to improved efficiency in public service delivery. Alice today divides her time between consultancy work, JOWI-F, SI and serving on a few Boards as an independent director
