STRATEGIC PROGRAMMING APPROACH AND PARTNERSHIPS
Given a majority of the OVC we target to support in Nyanza Region are Orphaned or Vulnerable as a result of HIV and AIDS scourge, we ensure that our Care and Support initiatives are holistic and comprehensively address the needs of
beneficiary Children and Communities through an integrated approach.To achieve this, we use Case Management (CM) process to OVC Programming initiatives.Our CM process ensures OVC household (HH) are;
Schooled
All school going age children in the target HHs are enrolled retained and transitioned; while out-of-school children are productively engaged
Healthy
All HH members know their HIV status; all HIV+ HH members are linked to Care and Treatment; all HIV+ HH members have suppressed viral load.
Stable
All HH members are able to access regular, nutritious meals for a period not less than two weeks; have regular income; have access to psycho-social support (PSS) as necessary and identifying with relevant support structures/groups
Safe
All children in the target HHs are not prone and susceptible to any form of abuse in the household/homestead or society; child rights are observed and structures to address the same exist in the society as well as within
relevant Government departments, and are effective
