JOWI-F CBO Leadership: Governance, Management and Membership Structure
Founded in remembrance of the late John Wilson Owuor Ooro of Asembo West Location, Siaya County, Kenya who passed on in 2010, JOWI-F Governance and Management Structure comprises Founder Board of Trustees (BoT) and a team of Volunteers in it’s overall Leadership structure, all with versed professional background and experienced in ICT, Corporate Governance, Financial Management and Stewardship, Community Health and Development, Business and Enterprise Development, and Resource Mobilization. The Governance, Management and Membership structure is categorized into 3 broad areas as follows:

The BoT is constituted for purposes of injecting wisdom and technical advice into the organization.

Jowi-Foundation – Board of Trustee

Alice Owuor
Alice Owuor is a founder Trustee and member of the Board of Trustees for John Wilson Foundation (JOWI-F), and has more than 15 years’ experience in the sector of humanitarian aid and support, assisting vulnerable members of the society become more self-sufficient.

Apollo Aulo Owuor
Apollo Aulo Owuor is a member of the Board of Trustees for John Wilson Foundation (JOWI-F), and has 28 years’ experience in medical supplies to both public and private sectors.

Wilfred Owuor
Wilfred Owuor is the current Management Committee Chairman for John Wilson Foundation (JOWI-F), has more than 30 years’ experience implementing integrated OVC
Management Committee Members of the Committee comprises between 3 to 7 Gender balanced members.
The current Management Committee members are as follows:-

2. Mr. Manase Onyao Ooro (Vice Chairman)
3. Ms. Rose Anyango Owuor (Secretary)
4. Mr. Moses Ochieng’ Okello (Vice Secretary)
5. Mr. George Abungu Owuor (Treasurer)
Two other members appointed by the Board of Trustees as follows:
1. Ms. Grace Atieno Osano
2. Ms. Hellen Akoth Nyanjage
Membership admitted by subscription:
These are Volunteers drawn from beneficiary communities not exceeding 21 members at any given time.
The Members participate in and represent beneficiary communities in Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
Current registered JOWI-F members are 16 (6M:10F) inclusive of Founder Trustees and Management Committee members.
